What does it mean when sanding is dustless?
If you find yourself using mats or area rugs to cover up the many scratches on your hardwood floors, or if you see fading or black spots, you'll need sanding as part of the refinishing service.
Up until recently, that created enormous amounts of dust, but with a relatively new dustless process, we can eliminate 99% of it. need sanding as part of the refinishing service.
Here's how it works: There's a machine attached to the sander that has a vacuum tube that sends it into a containment system, rather than letting the particles just fly around the room. I sort of liken it to a wet/dry vacuum that soaks up the water and sends it into a separate compartment.
